USMC SMR Codes.
There are cases in TM 9-2815-237-34P where the USMC uses different SMR
codes than the Army. The list provided below identifies these differences and is for Marine Corps
use only. This list is the only place in TM 9-2815-237-34P where these differences appear. It is
recommended that Marine Corps technicians make the appropriate annotations within the body of
this technical manual. All items w/PB, PC, PE, PF, or PG in the first two positions of the SMRC will
be PA for the USMC.

HOW TO LOCATE REPAIR PARTS
When National Stock Number or Part Number is Not Known.
(1) First.
Using the table of contents, determine the assembly group or subassembly group to which
the item belongs. This is necessary since figures are prepared for assembly groups and subassembly
groups, and listings are divided into the same groups.
