1.
Make sure all radios and lights are
off before starting the engine. Leaving
them on can drain batteries and cause
an electrical spike that might damage
your radios.
2.
Engage the parking brake and make
sure the gear selector is in N (neutral).
3.
Check the 300-amp circuit breaker. It
should be depressed.
4.
Pull out the AUX MASTER switch
and turn it to the on (| symbol) position.
The
automatic
Fre
control
system
(A±ES) panel will begin cycling.
5.
Pull out the AUTO MASTER switch
and turn it to the on (| symbol) position.
The check engine light should ²ash. If it
doesn’t ²ash, or won’t stop ²ashing, tell
your mechanic.

stryker to do its job, you
have to do yours as well.
That means starting
the engine
properly.

how…
Put gear
selector in
neutral
Circuit
breaker
depressed?
Turn AUX MASTER to on position…
Turn AUTO MASTER to on position
The check engine light should flash
…and wait while AFES panel cycles
you might as
well
give up!
I’m not gonna start unless
you follow the
right sequence!
