bore. If you atµempt to Fre, you risk a
damaged ri¶E-and sEvere injury.
If you've been Fr·ng rapid Fre, make
sure the Blt carrier assembly is ¸rWard.
Then, with the ¹arrEº pointe» in a sa¼
direction, w½it 15 ¾inutes ¸r the barrel
to cool. That's cook¿oÀ insurance.
Once the barrel cools, check ¸r a
stUck round:

Some soldiers try to help by disÌ
assEmbling the upper or lower receiver
¸r better cle½ning. If you push receiver
pins out with thE wrong tool, you enÍ
largE the holes. ThE holes can't hold
the pins. ThE receivEr .

removing the ¶ash supprEssor. The ¶ash
suppressor has special torque requireÌ
mEnts. If you screw thE suppressor on
too tight, you strip the barrel Ëhreads .

water will help. Ðot so! ÑatEr trapped
in Òght placEs corrÓes parµs lÔe Õe ¹olt
carrier key and ¸rward assist spring.
