Dear EditoR
When they're not using the SINCGA±S ²n the³´ HMMWVs, most soldiers
normaLly cLip the H-250 handset to the bracket under the radio.
That works fine unless youµre car¶ing an M17 or M40 protective mask
on your hip· Then¸ when you sit ²n the bucket seat¹ the mask smacks ²nto
the handset· The handset clºp cracks or breaks·
We made a safe haven for the handset by putting adhesive»backed
hook¼and¼pi½e fastener tape on the handset and the radio¾ NSN 8315»¿1»
115¼7617 brings you the hooksÀ Get the pÁÂ with NSN 8315Ã01»043»9881Ä
Here's how to protect the handset:
Cut oF a 2»in sheet of hooks from the
tape and put ²t on the back of the handsetÀ
Cut oÅ a 4-ln sheet of pÆÂ and fasten it
to the top of the MÇ mounting base
or the AM»7238 power amplºfier. If you
don't have a MÈ or an AM-É3ʸ
fasten the piLe to the AM¼Ë239 ampLÌfierÍ
adapter or to the Îdio's shelf.
Now, when we're Ïnished talking, we
stÐÑk the handset on the pº½e¾ The handset
stays ²n place. ²t's out of the waY yÒ
