Reducing Risk
Heavy Could Be Hazardous
•
Place and secure cargo as low as possible in the vehicle.
•
Conduct driver’s training.
•
Stay within recommended payloads.
•
Reduce speed before sharp turns or when road
conditions are poor.
•
Increase stopping distances when necessary, especially
driving through sand, debris, gravel or rain.
•
Check tire pressures when your HMMWV hasn’t been
driven for at least three hours.
