What To Do With Chem Lights
When chem lights expire, mechanics, they must be removed from the aircraft modular
survival system (AMSS) kit. It does not matter if the chem light packaging is still in good
condition. Make sure you follow the good words in Item 10 of WP 0637 00-5 in TM 1-1680-
377-13&P-7. You must inspect all chem lights. Replace them once they are expired, if the
outer foil has illegible instructions, or if the case is punctured.
