Assemble lockwasher (2) on machine bolt (1).
Position engine valve (5) on engine head (6) so that engine head index slots (8) are aligned.
Position engine valve backstop (4) so index tabs (7) are aligned with engine valve index slots (11)
and engine head index slots (8).
Install machine bolt (1) with backstop washer (3), aline with index slots and engine head (6). Install
washer, lockwasher, and machine screw.
Tighten machine bolt (1) without damaging threads in engine head (6) or moving petals of engine
valve (5) on engine head ports (9).
Change 4
c. Reassembly.
