provides information for identifying andcorrecting
malfunctions that may develop while operating
your semitrailer.

The Quick Guide to Troubleshooting
(para 3-3) lists common malfunctions that may occur and refers you to
paragraph
3-4, Troubleshooting
Chart, for the appropriate troubleshooting
procedures.
You should perform
the tests/inspections
and corrective actions in the order listed.

If you are unsure of the location of an item mentioned
in troubleshooting,
refer to paragraph
1-13 or to the
maintenance
task where the item is replaced.

Before performing
troubleshooting,
read and follow all safety instructions
listed in the warning summary atthe
beginning of this manual.

This section cannot list all the malfunctions
that may occur, norall tests or inspections and corrective
actions.
It a malfunction
is not listed or is not corrected
by the corrective action listed, notify your supervisor
or Unit
maintenance.

When troubleshooting
a malfunction:
Locate the symptom(s) in the Quick Guide to Troubleshooting
(para 3-3) that best describes the
malfunction.
Turn to the page in the Troubleshooting
Chart (para 3-4) where the troubleshooting
procedures
for the
symptom(s) in question is described.
Perform each step in the order listed until the malfunction is corrected.
DO NOT perform any
maintenance
task unless the troubleshooting
procedure tells you to do so.
