SPECIFIC PMCS PROCEDURES
a. Operator/Crew PMCS is provided in Table 11-1.
Always perform PMCS in the order listed.
Once PMCS procedures
become routine, spotting problems will become much easier.
b. Before performing PMCS, read all the checks required for the applicable interval and prepare all tools needed for the
task.
Have several clean rags (Item 17, WP 0055 00) ready for use.
Perform ALL inspections at the applicable
interval.
c. If any problems are discovered through PMCS, perform the appropriate troubleshooting task found
in WP 0008 00.
If any component or system is not serviceable, or if any service does not correct the problem, notify your supervisor.
d. Explanation of the column headings in Table 11-1 are as follows:
(1)
Item No.
The item number column of your PMCS table is to be used for reference.
When completing DA Form
2404, include the item number for the check/service indicating a fault.
Item numbers also appear in the order
that you must do checks and services for the intervals listed.
(2)
Interval.
This column of your PMCS table tells you when to do a certain check or service.
(3)
Location, Item To Check/Service.
This column of your PMCS table provides the location and the item to be
checked or serviced.
(4)
Procedure.
This column of your PMCS table tells you how to do the required checks and services.
Carefully
follow these instructions.
If you do not have the tools, or if the procedure tells you to, have Unit maintenance
do the work.
(5)
Not Fully Mission Capable If.
This column tells you when and why your equipment cannot be used.
