CROSS-SHAFT

ASSEMBLY

AND

INSTALLATION

1.

If removed, install bearing (64) on ring gear set

(61).

2.

Apply grease to center hole of ring gear set (61)

and bearing (64).

3.

Install ring gear set (61) and recessed washer

(63) into differential carrier (2) using two cross-

shaft removal spacers (62) to hold assembly

away from wall of differential carrier (2).

4.

Apply grease to entering shaft of cross-shaft

(60).

5.

Press cross-shaft (60) and key (65) into ring

gear set (61).

6.

Remove two cross-shaft removal spacers (62)

from differential carrier (2).
