Check for cracked or broken parts in the
vicinity of the sag or lean. (Be careful
not to get under the bridge in case it
falls. Use props or
crane/forklift/wrecker, if possible, to
support the bridge.)
Check for wear and tear, warping or
bending of these items. Note and
replace or repair as necessary.
Check for missing or loose items.
Replace or tighten as necessary.
Check to ensure smooth fitting of the
pintles into the holes on the diaphragm,
and the cross pins into the cross pin
sockets on the inboard ramp ends of the
bridge.
Check to ensure that the bridge
functions smoothly and that it fully lays
out and retracts without any binding at
the hinges or connector areas.
