Remove setscrew (51 ) from base plate (52).
Remove setscrew (53) that locks threaded ring (54)
into Ml 46 telescope mount.
Remove and discard self-locking nut (55) from de-
flection shoulder screw (56).
Remove deflection shoulder screw (56) by turning
knob (57) and deflection shoulder screw (56) coun-
terclockwise.
Remove base plate (52) from Ml 46 telescope
mount.
Remove threaded ring (54) from Ml 46 telescope
mount using fabricated spanner wrench.
Remove flat washer (58), concave washer (59),
keyed ratchet (60), dial ratchet (61), spring washer
(62), and ratchet shield (63).
Remove two headless straight pins (64) from
ratchet shield (63).
Remove knob (57) and associated parts.
Remove concave washer (65), round nut (66),
spring washer (67), scale dial (68), and disk (69)
from knob (57).
Remove setscrew (70) from round nut (66).
Remove and discard preformed packing (71 ) from
threaded ring (54).
Remove and discard preformed packing (72) from
Ml 46 telescope mount.
Remove plate spacer (73) by removing three cap
screws (74) and three Iockwashers (75). Discard
Iockwashers. If installed, remove shims and retain
for reassembly.
