7-13. INSTRUMENT CLUSTER COMPONENTS (EXCEPT SPEEDOMETER AND
TACHOMETER) REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT
NOTE
Procedure for removal and replacement for each of
the instruments on instrument cluster is the same.
TOOLS:
Flat-tip screwdriver
3/8-inch open end wrench
SUPPLIES:
None
PERSONNEL: One
EQUIPMENT CONDITION:
Truck parked, engine off, handbrake set.

Preliminary Procedures.
(1) Disconnect battery
(2) Remove instrument

Removal.
ground cable. Refer to para 7-58.

FRAME 1
1.
Using 3/8-inch wrench, unscrew and take off two nuts (1) from two mounting
studs (2) .
2.
Take off two lockwashers (3) and bracket (4).
3.
Pull temperature gage (5) out from front of instrument cluster (6).
GO TO FRAME 2
