EQUIPMENT CONDITION
Inner boom removed (para.
16-19).
GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
All
personnel must stand clear during lifting
operations.
Ensure lifting capacity is greater than weight of
hoist winch.

Remove two nuts (4), washers (2), and floodlight (3) from boom
(l).
NOTE
Upper and lower boom rollers are removed the same. Step 2 is
for the upper boom roller.
Assistant will help with step 2.
Remove six screws (5), Iockwashers (6), and boom roller (7) from boom (1). Discard Iockwashers (6).
NOTE
Both level wind rollers are removed the same. Steps 3 through 5
cover the removal of one level wind roller.
Remove four locknuts (14), screws (13), two hangers (9), and level wind roller (10) from boom (1).
Discard locknuts (14).
Remove grease fitting (12) from shaft (11).
Remove cotter pin (8), two hangers (9), and level wind roller (10) from shaft (11). Discard cotter
pin (8).
