EQUIPMENT CONDITION
Engine coolant heater removed (TM 9-2320-260-20).
GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Keep fire extinguisher nearby when using
drycleaning solvent.
• Compressed air source will not exceed 30 psi
(207 kPa).
Eyeshields must be worn when cleaning with
compressed air.
NOTE
a. Removal
Tag wires for installation.
1. Remove four screw-assembled lockwashere (11) and guard (12) from heater housing (13). Discard
screw-assembled lockwashers (11).
2. Remove tiedown strap (6) from heater wiring. Discard tiedown strap (6).
3. Remove nut-assembled lockwasher (2), ground lead (3), air tube (4), and elbows (1) and (5) from
heater housing (13).
4. Remove screw-assembled lockwasher (8) and wire (7) from heater component bracket (14). Discard
screw-assembled lockwasher (8).
5. Remove four nut-assembled lockwashers (10) and blower motor (9) from heater housing (13).
b. Cleaning and Inspection
1. Inspect blower motor (9) for dirt, grease, and carbon. Remove all dirt, grease, and carbon.
