36. ONE OR MORE LIGHTING SYSTEMS DO NOT LIGHT ON TRAILER

Test 1. Test trailer connecting receptacle voltage (malfunction 22).

Test 2. Test trailer connecting cable continuity.

Step 1.

Remove connecting cable from vehicle.

Step 2.

Place both ends of cable at a convenient point near each other. Open and lock hinged

covers on each end.

Step 3.

Set multimeter to RX1 for continuity reading.

Step 4.

Connect multimeter leads from socket letter A on one connector to socket letter A on

other connector. Note multimeter reading.

NOTE

Wires M and N are not used and continuity is not required.
