Connect rod clevis (2) to throttle lever (1) with screw (9) and new locknut (3).

Connect modulator link (7) to throttle lever (1) with screw (8) and new locknut (4).

Connect modulator return spring (6) to modulator link (7) and cable clamp bracket (5).

Connect rod clevis (12) to throttle lever (10) with screw (13) and new locknut (11).

Do not change pump settings made during calibration.
Remove nut (16), lockwasher (17), washer (18), and screw (19) from throttle lever (1) and fuel
pump (14). Discard lockwasher (17).
Slide throttle lever (1) off splined throttle shaft (20).
Turn splined throttle shaft (20) clockwise until resting against idle adjusting screw (15).
Slide throttle lever (1) on splined throttle shaft (20) and install with screw (19), washer (18), new
lockwasher (17), and nut (16). Do not tighten nut (16).
Prime fuel system and allow to warm up to operating temperature (TM 9-320-272-10).
Check idle speed. If idle speed is not 600-650 rpm, stop engine and check linkage adjustment.
When idle speed is correct, stop engine and tighten nut (16).
WARNING
Hearing protection must be worn by mechanic when engine is
running. Noise levels produced by this vehicle exceed 85dB, which
may cause injury to personnel.

Steps 8 through 17 apply to fuel pump with vs governor only.
Start engine (TM 9-2320-272-10) and allow air system to reach normal operating pressure.
Engage crane drive control lever (TM 9-2320-272-10).
Engage transfer power takeoff lever (TM 9-2320-272-10)
Remove spring (26) from throttle lever (1) and bracket (25).
Loosen nut (21) and adjusting screw (22).
Place throttle lever (23) forward in full throttle position and hold. Turn adjusting screw (22) until it
touches air cylinder piston shaft (24).

Release throttle lever (23), hold adjusting screw (22), and tighten nut (21).
15.
Install spring (26) on throttle lever (1) and bracket (25).
16.
Disengage transfer PTO lever (TM 9-2320-272-10).
17.
Disengage crane drive control lever (TM 9-2320-272-10).
