Connect two connectors (31) of alternator (30) wiring.

Install wire (29) on alternator (30) with washer (28), new lockwasher (27), and nut (26). Tighten

nut (26) 20-25 lb-in. (2-3 N

l

m).

Install wire (33) on alternator (30) with washer (18), new lockwasher (19), and nut (20). Tighten

nut (20) 45-55 lb-in. (5-6 N-m).

Install wire retaining strap (21) over wire (31) and on alternator (30) with two new lockwashers (22)

and screws (23).

Install wire (34) on alternator (30) with new lockwasher (35) and screw (36). Tighten screw (36)

82-102 lb-in. (9-12 N

m).

Apply sealant on wires (29) and (33) and install cover (24) on alternator (30) with two new screw-

assembled lockwashers (25).

NOTE

Two tiedown straps go over wires on inside right frame rail.

Install three tiedown straps (32).

Connect wire (41) to transorb diode coupling assembly wire (42).

Connect wires (43) and (44) to horn solenoid (45).

Install four tiedown straps (40) on rear of harness.

Install three cable clamps (38) on firewall (37) with three screws (39).
