Install valve seat (11) in piston (3).

16.

Install new check ball (7), spring (6), new check ball (5), and valve seat (4) in piston (3).

17.

Install two new O-rings (2) and new backup rings (1) on piston (3).

18.

Install new screen (9), new slipper seal (8). and new O-ring (10) on piston (3).

19.

Install piston (3) in steering gear housing (12) starting from end of housing (12) marked PA As

inner end of piston (3) approaches rear of output shaft bore (13), guide O-ring (2) and backup

ring (1) of piston (3) to avoid pinching them on edge of bore (13).
