Mark index marks on pump base and reservoir for assembly.

Mark pump base (24) and reservoir (20) and remove pump reservoir (20) from pump base (24).

Remove two sealing washers (21) and mounting studs (22) from pump base (24). Discard sealing

washers (21).

Remove pump base O-ring (23) from pump base (24). Discard O-ring (23).

Remove outlet adapter (26) and O-ring (25) from pump base (24). Discard O-ring (25) and outlet

adapters (26).

Remove spring (34), oil filter (33), and washer (35) from reservoir (20). Discard spring (34), oil

filter (33), and washer (35).

Remove filter breather (19) from reservoir (20).

Remove three screws (30), lockwashers (31), and pump base (24) from power steering pump

bracket (6). Discard lockwashers (31).

Remove power steering pump bracket (6) from vise.

Remove two locknuts (36) from reservoir (20). Discard locknuts (36).

CAUTION

Tap reservoir with soft-headed hammer to loosen from pump base.

Do not pry pump base with any tool. Doing so may damage pump

base and reservoir.
