Parking brake set (TM 9-2320-272-10).

Battery ground cables disconnected (para. 3-126).
GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Diesel fuel is flammable. Do not perform this
procedure near open flame.
WARNING
Diesel fuel is flammable. Do not perform this procedure near
open flame. Injury to personnel may result.
NOTE
Procedures for changing personnel fuel burning and engine
coolant heater electric fuel pumps are similar, this procedure
is for personnel fuel burning heater electric fuel pump.
a. Removal
1.
Disconnect connector (3) from electric fuel pump wire (6).
CAUTION
When disconnecting lines and hoses from pump, immediately plug
all open ports. Failure to do so can cause damage to pump.
NOTE
Tag all lines and ports for installation.
2.
Disconnect fuel inlet line (8) and outlet line (2) from adapter fittings (4).
3.
Remove two screws (5), locknuts (1), and electric fuel pump (7) from left-hand splash panel (9).
Discard locknuts (1).
b. Installation
1.
Install electric fuel pump (7) on left-hand splash panel (9) with two screws (5) and new locknuts (1).
2.
Connect fuel inlet line (8) and outlet line (2) to adapter fittings (4).
3.
Connect connector (3) to electric fuel pump wire (6).
