EQUIPMENT CONDITION

Parking brake set (TM 9-2320-272-10).

l

Hood raised and secured (TM 9-2320-272-10).

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Diesel fuel is flammable. Do not perform this

procedure near open flames.

a. Removal

WARNING

Diesel fuel is flammable. Do not perform this procedure near open

flames. Injury to personnel may result.

1.

Disconnect heater harness (2) from fuel burning heater (1).

2.

Disconnect fuel line (7) from heater elbow (6).

3.

Remove cotter pin (4) from exhaust tube (5) and fuel burning heater (1). Discard cotter pin (4).

4.

Loosen two clamps (3) and remove fuel burning heater (1) from clamps (3).

b. Installation

1.

Install fuel burning heater (1) into clamps (3) and tighten clamps (3).

2.

Install exhaust tube (5) on fuel burning heater (1) with new cotter pin (4).

3.

Connect fuel line (7) to heater elbow (6).

4.

Connect heater harness (2) to fuel burning heater (1).
