b. Disassembly.

Remove screw (1),

retainer (2), spring (3), and piston (4) from oil

filter adapter (5).

c. Assembly.

Install piston (4), spring (3),

retainer (2), and screw (1) in oil filter

adapter (5).

d. Installation.

Install gasket (1), oil filter

adapter (2), six lockwashers (3), four screws (4),

and two screws (5).

e. Follow-on Maintenance.

Install engine oil filter (para 3-4).

Install engine side panel

(TM 9-2320-279-10).

(3)

Close engine cover (TM 9-2320-279-10).

(4)

Start engine and check for oil leaks

(TM 9-2320-279-10).

(5)

Shut off engine (TM 9-2320-279-10).
