Install backplate (29).

Install screw (30). Tighten screw to 9 to 11 lb-ft (12 to 15 N•m).

Check clearance between backplate (29), drive gear (27), and driven gear (25). Maximum

clearance is 0.006 in. (0.15 mm).

Turn oil pump (28) over.

Apply lubricating oil to rubber lip of oil

seal (31) and install oil seal in oil

pump (28).
