Install preformed packing (18) on

cylinder head (19).

Aline matchmark on cylinder head (19)

with matchmark on housing (2) and

install cylinder head.

Install 10 lockwashers (20) and screws

(21). Tighten screws to 55 lb-ft

(75 N•m).

WARNING

Adhesives, solvents, and sealing compounds can

burn easily, can give off harmful vapors, and are

harmful to skin and clothing. To avoid injury or

death, keep away from open fire and use in

well-ventilated area. If adhesive, solvent, or

sealing compound gets on skin or clothing, wash

immediately with soap and water.

Coat threads of reducer bushing (22),

three adapters (23), elbow (24), and

plug (25) with pipe thread sealing

compound and install.

f. Installation.

(1)

Install bracket (1) on slave steering gear

housing (2) with eight screws (3) and

lockwashers (4). Tighten screws to

155 lb-ft (210 N•m).
