I 14-6.2. EQUALIZER BEAM ASSEMBLY (REAR TANDEM) REPAIR.

a. Disassembly

NOTE

M984E1 does not have spacers in

equalizer beams.

(1)

Remove

two

spacers (1) from each

equalizer beam

(2).

WARNING

Keep hands and feet away from

heavy parts. If equalizer beams fall

from cross tube, personnel can be

injured.

NOTE

Tag

and mark TOP and INSIDE of

equalizer beams before removing

from cross

tube.

(2) Soldier A and Soldier B remove two

equalizer beams (2) from cross tube (3) with suitable lifting device

(3) Use end bushing adapter to press two beam end bushings (4) out of equalizer beam (2).
