Install backup ring (9), preformed packing (10),

and backup ring (9) in piston (11).

Install piston (11) on rod (3).

Install wear ring (12), preformed packing (13),

two piston rings (14), and wear ring (12).

Install nut (15) on rod (3) and torque nut (15) to

110 lb-ft (149.1 N • m).

Install rod assembly (3) in

cylinder (16).

Apply thread locking and sealing

compound and install retaining

ring (2).

Install setscrew (17).

NOTE

Apply lubricant to preformed packings before

installing.

Install preformed packing (18).

Install preformed packing (19) and retaining

ring (20).

Install preformed packing (21) and two

retaining rings (22).

Repeat steps
