11-115. SHELTER SUPPORT REINFORCEMENT REPLACEMENT

This task covers:

a. Removal

b. Installation

a. Removal

Remove two lockbolts (7), lockwashers (6), washers (5), reinforcement (4), and shims (3) (if installed)

from mounting bracket (2). Discard lockbolts (7) and lockwashers (6).

NOTE

It may be necessary to detach cab rear panel straps and

turnbuttons and roll cab rear panel upward to gain access to front

support reinforcements.

General mechanic’s tool kit:

automotive (Appendix B, Item 1)

Materials/Parts

Two lockbolts (Appendix G, Item 69)

Two lockwashers (Appendix G, Item 179)

Equipment Condition

Tailgate lowered (TM 9-2320-280-10).

b. Installation

Install shims (3) (if installed) and reinforcement (4) on support assembly (1) and mounting bracket (2)

with two lockbolts (7), lockwashers (6), and washers (5). Tighten lockbolts (7) to 90 lb-ft (122 N

•

m).

FOLLOW-ON TASK: Raise and secure tailgate (TM 9-2320-280-10).

NOTE

Ensure correct positioning of shims, if installed, upon installation

of lockbolts.
