Remove nut (12), lockwasher (11), and washer (10) from ground stud (7) on alternator assembly (6).

Discard lockwasher (11).

14.

Install ground strap (8), lead 3B (9), washer (10), lockwasher (11), and nut (12) on alternator

assembly (6).

15.

Remove nut (2) and washer (3) from positive terminal (5).

16.

Install lead 6 (4), washer (3), and nut (2) to positive terminal (5) on alternator assembly (6).

17.

Apply grease to positive terminal (5), lead 6 (4), and inside of boot (1), and slide boot (1) over positive

terminal (5).
