HOW TO USE THIS TECHNICAL MANUAL
This manual is designed to help operate and maintain the HEMTT-Based Water Tender (HEWATT).
This technical
manual should be used in conjunction with the TM 9-2320-422-10 and TM 9-2320-325-14&P series manuals.
Listed below are some of the features included in this manual to help locate and use the needed information:

Warnings, cautions, subject headings, and other essential information are printed in bold type, making them
easier to see.
•
In addition to text, there are illustrations showing how to take a component off and put it back on.
Cleaning
and inspection criteria are also included where necessary.
This manual is subdivided into three volumes containing the following:
Volume 1

Chapter 1 of this manual supplements the TM 9-2320-422-10 manual and it describes the HEWATT specific
components.
Equipment data is also provided.

Chapter 2 of this manual supplements the TM 9-2320-422-10 manual and provides HEWATT Operating
Instructions.

Chapter 3 of this manual supplements the TM 9-2320-325-14&P manual and provides HEWATT Operator
and Field Level Troubleshooting Procedures for Fire Pump System, Foam Proportioner System, Water Tank
Assembly, Instrument Housing Assembly, Warning Light Assembly, Spotlights, and Dome and Engine Light
Assembly.
