29. Pull out PARKING BRAKE control (13) when BAP runners come onto LHS rear rollers,
and the BAP clears the ground.
NOTE
Dashboard HIGH IDLE indicator will go out when HIGH IDLE switch is
positioned off.
30. Set HIGH IDLE switch (19) to off position.
31. Hold joystick (20) in LOAD position until the BAP is loaded and NO TRANSIT indicator
light (26) is off.
WARNING
When NO TRANSIT indicator is illuminated, vehicle may be maneuvered
in the immediate vicinity of the loading/unloading site. However, vehicle
is unsafe for road travel. Do not perform open-road driving when NO
TRANSIT indicator is illuminated. Failure to comply may result in injury
or death to personnel and damage to equipment.
32. Release joystick (20) when main frame and hook arm are fully stowed, and NO
TRANSIT indicator light (26) is off.
CAUTION
While maneuvering vehicle in the immediate vicinity of the loading or un-
loading site, LHS MODE SELECT switch may be in any setting. However,
LHS MODE SELECT switch must be set to OFF prior to road travel, to
prevent damage to main frame and hook arm cylinders.
33. Turn LHS MODE SELECT switch (16) to OFF.
34. Set HYD ENABLE switch (16) to off position. MAIN HYD ENABLE indicator (17) will go
out.
35. Ensure hold-down locks (11) have handles pushed in to lock BAP to vehicle.
