b. Installation.

NOTE

Left and right side spring mounts are installed

the same way. Left side shown.

(1) Install pin (1) in intermediate axle assembly (2).

(2) Position spring mount (3) on pin (1) and intermediate

axle assembly (2).

(2.1) Perform steps (1) and (2) on right side spring mount.

WARNING

Intermediate

weighs

approximately 1580 lbs (717 kgs) and

must be supported during installation.

Failure to comply may result in serious

injury or death to personnel or damage to

equipment.

(3) Position

intermediate

axle

assembly

(2)

on

transmission/differential lift with chain.

NOTE

Step (4) requires the aid of two assistants.

(4) Position intermediate axle assembly (2) under vehicle.
