NOTE

Largest open pocket can be in any location

on geroler.

(15) Locate and mark position of largest open pocket in

geroler (14).

(16) Install valve drive (15) in geroler (14).

(17) Install preformed packing (16) in valve plate (17).

(18) Install valve plate (17) on geroler (14) with match marks

aligned.

(19) Align any open slot in valve plate (17) with largest open

pocket in geroler (14).

WARNING

Use care when installing springs. Springs

are

under

tension

and

can

act

as

projectiles

when

released.

Failure

to

comply may result in injury to personnel.

(20) Install two check balls (18) and springs (19) in valve

housing (20).

(21) Install two preformed packings (21) on check ball plugs

(22).

(22) Install two check plugs (22) in valve housing (20).

(23) Tighten two check ball plugs (22) to 40-60 lbs-in. (5-7

N·m).
