WARNING
• Use extreme care when handling heated
linear valve and components.
Failure to
comply may result in injury to personnel.
• Use care when removing springs. Springs
are under tension and can act as projectiles
when released. Failure to comply may result
in injury to personnel.
CAUTION
Do not overheat linear valve. If linear valve
begins to discolor, remove heat source.
Failure to comply may result in damage to
equipment.
(23) Position linear valve (36) in vise.
(24) Compress spring (37) on linear valve (36).
(25) Heat linear valve (36) at threads of stripper bolt (31).
(26) Remove stripper bolt (31), two spring retainers (38),
spring (37), and tube stop (39) from linear valve (36).
NOTE
Both actuator assemblies are disassembled the
same way. One control valve shown.
(27) Remove two screws (40), valve cap (41), and actuator
assembly (42) from upper control valve assembly (2).
(28) Remove seal (43), preformed packing (44), and retaining
plate (45) from actuator assembly (42). Discard seal and
preformed packing.

(47),
preformed packing (48), and seal (49) from upper control
valve assembly (2).
Discard preformed packing and
seal.
