Disassembly

(1)

Remove valve (1) from relief valve (2).

(2)

Remove fitting (3) from relief valve (2).

(3)

Remove preformed packing (4) from fitting (3).

Discard preformed packing.

(4)

Remove 45-degree fitting (5) from relief valve (2).

(5)

Remove preformed packing (6) from 45-degree

fitting (5).

Discard preform packings.

Assembly

(1) Install preformed packings (1 and 2) on 45-degree

fitting (3) and fitting (4).

(2) Apply sealant to threads of valve (5), 45-degree fitting

(3), and fitting (4).

(3) Position 45-degree fitting (3) in relief valve (6).

(4) Position fitting (4) in relief valve.

(5) Tighten 45 degree fitting (3) and fitting (4) to 40-43 lb-

ft

(54-58 N•m).

(6)

Install valve (6) in relief valve (5).

sealing

and clothing.

keep away from open fire and use in a

well-ventilated area.

If adhesive or

sealing compound gets on skin or

clothing immediately with soap and

water.

injury to personnel.
