ADJUSTMENT
1.
Loosen two nuts (2) at each end of tie rod (1).
2.
Turn tie rod (1) in one-half turn increments, measure toe-in until toe-in of 1/16-3/16 in.
(1.59-4.76 mm) is obtained, and tighten two nuts (2) 170 lb-ft (231 N
•
m).
3.
Install stone shield (4) on two studs (6) with nuts (3). Tighten nuts (3) 60-80 lb-ft (81-108 N
•
m).
4.
Install stone shield (4) on flange (5) with two new lockwashers (7) and screws (8). Tighten
screws (8) 81-104 lb-ft (110-141 N
•
m).
5.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 to install other two stone shields.
