START COLD ENGINE - Continued

•

Three times for temperatures between -10°F and -25°F

(-23°C and -32°C).

•

Repeat Steps (4) and (5) up to four times. If engine fails to start after

four starting attempts, notify field level maintenance.

•

Under extreme cold temperatures, it may be necessary to press the

ETHER START button two or three times in a single starting attempt.

Wait approximately three seconds between each press.

4.

Press and hold ETHER START button (3) for three seconds, release, and wait three

seconds.

5.

Turn ENGINE switch (4) to START for no more than 15 seconds, or until engine starts.
