RAISE/LOWER INOPERABLE/UNSAFE RAMP — Continued

WARNING!
Do not work behind an inoperable/unsafe ramp that is not secured. Use lifting device to make sure ramp
cannot fall while cable is being secured to tow pintle.
NOTE
Steps 11 - 14 apply to M577A2 and M1068 only.
11. With ramp lock engaged and lifting equipment holding ramp up, install tow hook (2), headed pin (3), and safety clip (4)
in rear left hand lifting eye (5), and rear right hand towing eye (6).
12. Route tow cable (7) through tow pintle (8). Connect ends of tow cable to lifting eye (5) and towing eye (6), and secure
with two tow hooks (2), headed pins (3), and safety clips (4).
13. Post warning sign (9) on ramp (10) with the following warning.

WARNING!
This inoperable/unsafe ramp can fall and kill you. Do not remove any cable unless proper lifting equipment
is attached.

10. Tag driver’s ramp lock lever (1) inside carrier with the following warning sign:
