7-4. TRANSMISSION/TRANSFER INTERCHANGEABILITY.

General Information:

Transmission failure can be caused by a multitude of causes. Availability of replacement transmis-

sions\transfers may become a problem that can only be solved by removal from other damaged

equipment.

The M109/M110/M578 is designed for the XTG 411-2 transmission only. This transmission and the

transfer assemblies are interchangeable between the following vehicles:

1. M107.

2. M108.

3. M110.

4. M110A1.

5. M110A2.

6. M578 Recovery Vehicle.

An alternate source of supply for transmissions/transfers is foreign owned equipment (see Appendix A).
