INSTALLATION

WARNING

Battery is heavy and can cause back injury if handled improperly. Be sure to have helper assist

you to remove and replace battery. Battery weighs about 75 lb (34 kg).

CAUTION

Place batteries with positive (+) and negative (-) terminals as shown in diagram below. Damage

to components will occur if batteries are hooked up wrong.

Place batteries (6) in battery box (5).

NOTE

On newer models, there are screws and washers securing the front plate to the battery box.

Install front plate (4) on battery box (5). Secure with four screws (1), eight washers (2), and four new locknuts (3).
