REPLACE SERVICE BRAKE CONTROL LINKAGE — Continued

INSTALLATION

1.

Install journal bearing (1) on shaft (2).

2.

Install new key (3) in shaft (2).

WARNING

Failure of control linkage can cause carrier to crash. Crash could kill or injure personnel.

3.

Install link (4) on shaft (2). Secure with washer (5) and new cotter pin (6).

CAUTION

Take care not to damage parts when using vise.

4.

Put link (4) in vise. Install washer (7) and new locknut (8) on right side of shaft (2).
