REPLACE COMMANDER’S CUPOLA ARMOR SHIELDS (M113A3 AND M1064A3 ONLY)

10. Remove chain (1) and door (2) from bracket (3). If needed remove chain (1) from door (2).

11. Remove two screws (4), bracket (3), and spacer (5) from gun mount (6).

12. Remove locknut (7), plate (8), washer (9), and screw (10) from bracket (3). Discard locknut.

13. Push lock handle (11) down and remove machine gun shield assembly (12) from commander’s cupola mount (13).

INSTALLATION

1.

Push lock handle (11) down and install machine gun shield assembly (12) in commander’s cupola mount (13).

2.

Install screw (10), washer (9), plate (8), and new locknut (7) on bracket (3). Do not tighten locknut (7) so that plate (8) is

able to turn freely.

3.

Install spacer (5), bracket (3), and two screws (4) on gun mount (6).

4.

Install chain (1) on bracket (3) and door (2). Deform ends of chain to secure chain on door and bracket.
