Attach M42 Chemical Alarm Unit (5) to mounting bracket (1).

NOTE

Alarm cable is connected to alarm unit at one end, and to junction box at other end.

5.

Route alarm cable (1) over radio brackets (2) with one end at alarm unit (3) and other end at junction box (4) attachment

point.

6.

Connect one end of alarm cable (1) leads 509B (5) and 509C (6) to alarm unit (3) terminals (7).

NOTE

When removing terminal screws in junction box, to connect new cable leads, keep existing leads

attached to correct terminals.

7.

Insert other end of alarm cable (1) through grommet (8) into junction box (4) and connect to terminal board (9) as

follows:

a.

Lead 509B (5) to terminal (10). Lead 509C (6) to terminal (11).

8.

Insert power cable (12) leads through grommet (8) into junction box (4) and connect as follows:

a.

Lead 6B POS (13) to terminal (14) on circuit breaker (15). Lead 7B NEG (16) to terminal (17) on terminal

board (9).

9.

Install junction box (4) on carrier hull with two screws (18) and washers (19).

10. Connect wiring harness (20) plug (21) to jack on bottom of junction box (4).
