) to indicate SET FUZE. Place setter on the fuze
and press the ENTER button. The setter will attempt to set the fuze. After the “WAIT” message is
briefly displayed either the “FUZE SET OK” message will be displayed which means the fuze has
been set, or the “FAILED” message will be displayed. . If “FAILED” appears, try setting another
fuze. If both fuzes do not accept the setting, replace the fuze setter and try setting the fuzes.

Auto-setting is accomplished via an inductive data link between the fuze and a weapon equipped with an
auto-set fire control system. The desired fuze setting is inputted into the setter console then transmitted.
The fuze will be remotely activated and set, and the console will display the actual fuze setting as a
safety feature.

Firing temperature for the M782 is -45ºF to +145ºF (-43ºC to +63ºC).
