3. Remove oil seal (19).

a. Press seal (19) from adapter (1) using a

suitable arbor press.

Discard seal.

INSPECTION

1. Measure inside diameter (A) of bearing bore in generator adapter (1).

Replace generator

adapter if it is not within specifications in the following table.

2. Measure inside diameter (B) of oil seal (18) bore in generator adapter (1).

Replace generator

adapter if it is not within specifications in the following table.

3. Measure outside diameter (C) on both ends of generator drive gear (16).

Replace drive gear if

it is not within specifications in the following table.
