Do not use a prying device to separate housings.

Damage to machined

surfaces may occur.

7. Separate flyweight housing (15) from vane housing (21).

a. Note the location of dowel pins (22) in vane housing (21) for alignment with holes in

flyweight housing (15) during assembly.

8. Separate vane housing (21) from cover (7) noting the location of dowel pins (23) for alignment

with holes in cover (7) during assembly.

9. Partially separate vane (24) from housing (21) and remove eight springs (25) and eight

seals (26).

Discard springs and seals.

10. Remove vane (24) from housing (21).
