BEFORE TEST

NOTE

Testing of the fuel injection pump advance unit is required on all units that have

been repaired to ensure optimum engine performance.

In addition, testing of the

advance unit should be accomplished whenever the engine is overhauled.

Testing

will be accomplished prior to assembly of the engine rear fan and accessory drive

housing assembly.

Test stand (1) is designed to check and bench-test the advance

characteristics of the fuel injection pump advance unit under conditions simulating

engine operation over an operating range of 200 to 2600 rpm.
