Crankshaft Maintenance Instructions (Cont)

Apply oil to crankshaft front and

rear main bearing journals (32).

Attach suitable lifting device to

crankshaft (2).

Soldier A guides crankshaft (2)

while Soldier B operates lifting

device to install crankshaft.

Push crankshaft (2) to front and

install thrust washer (33). Push

crankshaft to rear and install

other thrust washer.

Install two bearing caps (10

and 11).
