with a si±ple solution. And it's often
a pRoble± that doesn't have to happen
in the Fi²st place.

Think FilteRs-´Uel filteR and aiR filµ
teR (oR aiR cleaneR-same thing). A
plugged FilteR is like a co¶k in a bot·le.
¸uel and aiR can't get t¹u FilteRs that'Re
plugged with dirt oR ice. Yes, ice .

You can quickly find out if a plugged
´Uel fIlteR is causing tHe tRouble. TRy to
dRain the FilteR. ºf nothing co±es out,
the »lteR's pRobably ³ozen .

±echanic will have to take the fIlteR
apart, clean it and maybe even put in
a new FilteR element.

Easy, Right? Even betteR is dRaining
´Uel filteRs be¼Re eveRy opeRation¿
like youR À10 TM PMCS tells you to
do. You can Head ofÁ a lot of staRting
and poweR tRouble.
But ½el's not enough. YouR engine
needs aiR-lots of it. You know diRt can

ºf you get diRt oR wateR ³om the FilÂ
thinK of ice oR snow sHutting o´f youR
teR, keep dRaining until you gÃt it all.
engine's aiR supply? You can wind up
ºf youR equipment's got moRe ½el filÄ
with a plugged aiR cleaneR even if you
teRs, dRain them, too. Get tHat junK
just got a spankingÂclean eleÅent.

toRque than the wheel studs can handle.
ToRque the inneR wheel lug nuts to
40ÐÊ425 lbÂft instead of 450Ñ500 lbÂft.
OuteR nuts need oNly 325Ñ355 lbÎft to
keep them tight. Òe suRe to tighten the
nuts in the oRdeR shown in the ÉM.
Make a note in youR ÉË until it's
updated.
