HOW TO USE THIS TECHNICAL BULLETIN

INTRODUCTION
a.
This technical bulletin is designed to help you operate and maintain the HEMTT Tanker Armor Module Kit. It
also provides installation instructions for the armor kit and includes the Repair Parts and Special Tools List
(RPSTL).
b.
This technical bulletin is written in work package format:
1.
Chapters divide the technical bulletin into major categories of information (e.g.,
General Information,
Equipment Description and Data,
and
Theory of Operation; Operator Instruction; Operator Maintenance
Instructions; Field Maintenance Instructions;
and
Supporting Information
).
2.
Each chapter is divided into work packages, which are identified by a 4-digit number (e.g., 0001, 0002,
etc.) located on the upper right-hand corner of each page. The work package page number (e.g., 0001-1,
0001-2, etc.) is located center at the bottom of each page.
3.
If a Change Package is issued to this technical bulletin, added work packages use the 5th and 6th digits
of their number to indicate new material. For instance, work packages inserted between WP 0001 and
WP 0002 are numbered WP 0001 01, WP 0001 02, etc.
c.
Read through this technical bulletin to become familiar with its organization and contents before attempting to
operate or maintain the armor kit.
